Commingled Fund
The Commingled Fund is an excellent alternative for the churches to use when investing their excess cash. Large churches have their own Endowment Funds; however, because the funds are sometimes small and the expertise doesn't exist in the congregations, smaller churches can benefit from investing in the Commingled Fund. The Investment Committee and the Audit Committee ensure that the constituent funds of the Commingled Fund are accounted for separately, but for investment purposes the money is commingled so returns are better, investments more diversified, and management stronger.
